The kit comes with Curtiss Seahawks, with which she was equipped in 1945, but for this 1944 color scheme, Vought Kingfishers are correct. I got these from a Trumpeter set.

Hi TankDrifter, that was done with a wash, I think from MIG productions. I used a reddish-brown color (probably intended for rust effects) and thinned with acrylics thinner. Use a broad brush and take care to apply evenly. Hope this helps.
