I was pleasantly surprised by the kit itself, though I had feared the worst after my last experiences with this kit manufacturer.

After 30 years, I finally dared to tackle a civilian car again.
The last time I built a model was in my youth. My optimism was immediately punished: For a paltry CHF 10.00, I found an AMT 51 Chevy Bel Air from 1976 at the flea market. A real bargain—or so I thought. But the project was doomed from the very start. In the engine bay, I was confronted with fitting problems that were nearly impossible for me to solve, and the instructions were more confusing than helpful. I spent hours researching original paint schemes and interior colours. In the end, the only thing that even remotely fit was Revell's moss green (36162)—a colour that probably leads a shadowy existence for good reason. After endless hours of frustration, I'd had enough and ended the disaster with a decisive punch.

A size smaller—and considerably more relaxed—was then the Heller Subaru Impreza. Given the small size and the fact it's my first civilian model car since 30 years, I'm actually quite satisfied. I'll tackle one or two more test models before I dare approach my real treasures.

Kit impressions:

Pros:
+Parts are cleanly cast
+Easy to assemble
+Many decals included
+Decals detach quickly from the backing paper and are sturdy
+Well detailed for the scale

Cons:
-Decals are pale, lacking colour saturation
-Antennas are too thick
-No tread detail on the tyres

Thank you very much, Bozo, Robert, and Mark. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the hint with the Heller Forum Bozo. It is more by chance that I am currently using Heller kits.

Me and my wife shortly often visited a general store (for her needs), what can I do about the fact that this one also sold Heller Kits. My wife thinks I have enough kits, and I feel the same way about her wardrobe. Just as she can never find anything to wear, I never have the right kit in stock. Since she said I would never build them anyway, I had to set a precedent and build the Heller kits from the store first 😄

But currently I have a Heller 1/72 F6F Hellcat on my desk, what a horrible kit. Too bad, the others weren't bad at all. But the Hellcat, really awful

I found this today in a local hobby store near Lucerne, Switzerland. They have this kit on sale for an amazing 14.00 francs, which is about 14.90 euros. Absolutely happy with this bargain.
