This is a tandem build with Brian Campitella. I am building the British Mk IV Female and Brian is building the German A7V.
These tanks were involved in the first Tank versus Tank battle which occured on April 24, 1918, during the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux.
Three British Mark IV tanks (two "female" with machine guns, one "male" with 6-pounder guns) engaged three German A7V tanks. The British male tank, commanded by Second Lieutenant Frank Mitchell, disabled the lead German A7V, nicknamed "Nixe", with its 6-pounder guns, according to History Stack Exchange. The other two A7Vs then withdrew. The two Mk IV "female" tanks were disabled in the battle.
