Cool model and box art - a "The Man in the High Castle" Yamato, arriving in the Pacific States of America!
Hope that a 1965 Greater Germanic Reich Bismarck or Tirpitz will be up next. @Border Model: I have a suggestion for the box art...

I tried to add the information that this is a rebox of Tank Crew (ICM 35647, 1:35).
However, when I use the "Add based on" button, this forces me to create a new kit record rather than just add the link to the existing record.
So - how do I go about creating the link between the two existing products?
All comments (7) » 16 November, 07:51
I think it is not offered due to the huge amount of kits. The linking is based on topic and scale, but if you look here, there are 276 kits if this topic in 1:35! It is nearly impossible to offer all in the Edit page to offer the linking! This is already problematic for a Bf 109, but there you can group for manufacturers
Just my 2 Cents.

currently the timeline is indeed not supported for figurines. (reasons mentioned above by other)
I'll see If I can make it work as an exception for specific kits

This is a weird but welcome product.
It is obviously a repop of Fendt F20 Dieselroß (Revell 07822, 1:24).
The surprising thing is that it comes at a substantially REDUCED price - quite the opposite of Revell's (and other companies') usual tactics.
Also, the distribution channels seem to differ - it popped up on general distributor's sites rather than specialized modelling retailers'.
The toned down box design is also an improvement over the garish original.
@Revell: if you consider to continue in this vein and make offering re-issues at a lower price a new business strategy - I'm all for it! 😉

Yeah, right. Just what we needed. Another Tomcat in toy scale. Probably for 75 Euros/Dollars.
Sorry, only trolling. Please feel free to ignore, not answer, and move on.

haha i understand your frustration but some people only build 1/72 tomcats🙂

Lion 213 in 1/72 for 3,000-4,000JPY is a sweet deal for those of us living in Japan.

What in funk's name were you thinking, Revell?
<Imagine meme picture of facepalm here>
Not only is this in a pretty odd scale, especially considering the fact that Revell has issued a whole line of tractors in the ever-popular 1:24 scale - it is also nearly three times as expensive as its (slightly) smaller brethren.
I already own two of the 1:24 tractors, and the third is on order. If this had been in the usual scale and price range, it would have been a perfect addition to the other three and gone straight to the top of my wishlist. As it is, it is pretty useless to me - and I am probably not alone there.

added a new photoalbum.

Dear Mates,
while re-organizing my stash, I came across the small bagged parts tree shown in the photos of the attached album. It must have fallen out of some kit's box - but I haven't got the slightest idea, which.
The part numbers are given as 71 and 72.
Can anybody tell me which kit this belongs to? I do not limit myself to certain subjects, so I can't point you in the right direction as to the subject of the kit...
Thanks,
Gluefinger

It looks a lot like a turret box (upside down in the photos) and based on the rivets I figured WW2. I had a look at your stash, and I think it is part A72 from Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H Early/Mid (Border Model BT-005, 1:35)

@Mike Bird:
You, Sir, are a Gentleman and a true Prince!
Not only did you identify the parts tree correctly - you even went the extra mile by checking against my stash and giving photographic evidence!
Kit and parts tree are now happily reunited.
Thank you for your efforts -

So, it took them two and a half years to turn promotion into product. And then this:
When I saw the box art picture and the price of more than 95 Euros for the initial release, I was expecting this to be a Combo kit - but: "[...] contains one set of plastic frames [...]". Plus: "Only the number of kits that are pre-ordered [...] will be produced.". The inclusion of a book of unspecified size, which seems to contain Czech language text only, isn't really a deal maker, either.
Obviously, these days it is commercially viable to first issue a new tool model as an overpriced cult item rather than in a way that appeals to "the masses". This might in part be due to people who believe that this might become a sought-after item in the future, promising large profits from future sales (though I doubt that, considering that the number of "special releases" by Eduard is growing like mushrooms on horse manure).
Let's hope they release a mainstream kit before the rocketing prices will make the cheapest (weekend) option a 50 Euros buy.

My bigger problem with this is that they dont even offer the book in English - especially when you sell it International and not only in CZ.
25 August, 11:51
I might have to eat my words on my previous comment; they've listed the Profipak MiG-21F-13 at $85 USD on the Eduard website, that's a whopping 77% price increase from all their other MiG-21 (PFM/MF/Bis/R) kits.
Though to be fair it puts it at a comparable price to kits like Airfix's new Jaguar, GWH's MiG-29, or Zoukei-Moura's Phantoms and many other manufacturer's new tool 1/48 jets, and those don't generally come with the PE or masks, and only have two or three decal options compared with the six Eduard offer.
