He 115 Clandestine Operations

BV 185 arrived in Malta during the night of June 23, 1941. It was one of three former Norwegian floatplanes which defected to England. Its surface was painted all black and it was used on clandestine missions flying to enemy occupied territories such as Libya, Tunis, Greece and Sicily, dropping off and picking up secret agents. It operated under darkness and was kept under cover inside the hanger at Kalafrana.
