The kit is moulded in white plastic, consistent with Airfix’s approach to space-themed subjects. Fit and alignment are in line with expectations for a modern Airfix tooling. Parts locate cleanly and seam lines are manageable without excessive filler. A notable improvement over the Saturn V kit I built last year is the use of single piece engine bells. This simplifies assembly and reduces cleanup time. Surface detail is typical of Airfix’s current standard, adequate for display out of the box, while leaving room for additional detailing if desired. Panel lines and structural features are crisply defined without being exaggerated. Overall, the kit offers a straightforward build.
