FV-651 Salamander is an airfield crash tender based on Alvis chassis used on Saracen and Saladin armored vehicles. In turn it led to the FV 620 Stalwart load carrier which was derived from the Salamander. The model of this interesting fire engine was issued by Ukrainian ACE company using short run technology, but actually is quite good. Small 1:72 scale Salamander features detailed 6x6 chassis, cabin interior and various well done small parts. The result looks somewhat toyish, but this is also the feature of the real vehicle which looks like from some comic book of 1960s. I made my FV-651 out of the box and airbrushed in RAF all-red color scheme.
