The model of Sea Venom carrier-capable jet aircraft issued by DZI (Donetsk toy factory), USSR. This is another model produced using the British company Frog's casting moulds, purchased by the Soviet Union in the 1970s. My father had one in his collection and I just had to make my own Sea Venom on the shelf. It's an old but not the worst looking model that conveys the unusual appearance of a real aircraft quite well. On the other hand there is a lot of flash and the canopy is just awful, it seems the molds were worn out and bad casting quality is very noticeable on transparent parts. Anyway, I love how this small two-tailed plane looks in this standard royal Navy dark-gray and sky color scheme and I'll be looking forward to make the pinnacle of De Havillan sea fighters evolution, the great Sea Vixen.
