Thanks! I'm starting to use my Brother Scan N Cut to make the stencils/masks. I'm starting to figure out how to paint them properly and reduce the amount of "bleed" that can occur. Fun stuff!

Very Nice build! Quick question, how did you find Eduard's decals as your application turned out great.

Firstly, this is my seventh model build... so not an expert. However, this was the worse kit so far. The pieces didn't always fit right, lots of filler, panel lines poor, and landing gear attachment sketchy. It makes me wonder about the great reputation of Eduard... but perhaps it's just me? I've had great luck with Tamiya and Airfix kits.

The main insignia (meatball and stripe) were painted with hand-made stencils. I found the Eduard main decals very poor. The number on the plane was not the one I intended to use, but their decals floated off the paper almost immediately and folded on itself. I could not repair. Then the next number set was transferred to the plane and immediately stuck... unable to move. I used Micro-Set/Sol and still no joy. Interestingly, the smaller decal sheet (with smaller items) worked fine. Very frustrating. I hope others have better luck.

Hi Ronald, thanks for taking the time to give this detailed feedback. I personally haven't dealt with Eduard's newer decals, after hearing some horror stories I was impressed how good yours look and now it makes sense that you painted yours. Even with the issues a great looking build.

Agreed. It was my first time adding an aerial wire on a model. I used the recommended EZ Line size... but now have ordered the thinner size for my next model.
