First Belkit kit, built OOB with original decals.
- Primed with Tamiya Fine Surface primer (body) and Rust-oleum 2X primer spray can for all other sprues
- Painted with Tamiya LP-2 white
- Clear coated with Mr Hobby GX-100 Super clear
- Using Mr Hobby PS275 airbrush
- Interior painted with Tamiya and Mr Hobby acrylics
- Polished body with 6000, 8000 & 12000 micromesh pads and fine and finishing polishing compounds.
Kit was detailed with alot of extra parts included, between Tamiya & Hasegawa quality. Instructions were basic and had some errors and vagueness so dry-fitting was required.
Kit went together well, some locator holes had to be increased for correct fitment. The PE parts were very thin and the two lower seatbelt connectors split so could not be used.
The decals went on well, however, the large bonnet and front fenders decals took some effort to conform and did split/fold in places but overall the decals were easy to manage.
Overall, a good kit of a relatively unknown rally car and livery. I think the stance is sitting a little too high but that could just be me.
