I got tired of following instructions. Also, I'd never put Zimmerit on a kit before, so first I experimented with various kinds of putty and the Tamiya comb scraper tools on a few old CD cases, and then I bought the cheapest 1:35 Panther kit I could find, which was Tamiya's 1969 classic MM065 (redesignated 35065), and put Zimmerit on it. No harm done if I made a mistake or two. It stood me in good stead for when I wanted to do it "properly" (whatever that means).
