This is a very strange kit which I bought direct from HLJ (Hobby Link Japan) sometime between 2012-2016. It does not follow what I know to be any Tamiya standard. It features a completely black box. It does not have the front page of the instructions, where usually the history of the car is given. It does not have a last page, which usually contains decal placement, here the decal placement is a part of the build page ((after step 16 in the instructions.
I do recall that when I bought it from HLJ, it was labelled either as a "special edition" or "black edition" or "stealth edition". I only noticed it recently when I was making an inventory of the kits I have.
The barcode of the product gives it as 896233 (note that an additional 3 has been placed after the 89623, but not separate by a bar, it is part of the sequence).
All in all, I was trying to verify the kit, and when I found this specific entry for the McLaren Honda MP4/5B without a box art picture, no instructions, and almost no one owning it listed, but had a [matching] product SKU, I knew it was this kit.
I do not think this is a fake product, as I bought it from a reputable supplier (HLJ), along with other Tamiya kits at the time, including the Ferrari F310B, and the Honda RA272, but it is a strange kit.

I'm guessing it's something to do with complying with the sponsors' copyright.

Interesting thought, it is worth contemplating. I have also considered the possibility of a freak production batch, which does happen in other industries. But in some cases, the manufacturer sees it as a marketing opportunity and re-brands it as "Black Edition" or "Limited Run" and sells them, rather than scrap them.
Looking at the successors to this kit, you will see that they also feature a black box, with only line art of the car on them, unlike the traditional Tamiya kits.

@Spanjaard, thank you for the video, yes. This solves the issue with badger airbrushes, which I have one of. The dilemma I have is again slightly different. The picture you sent above helps shed light on the issue. Thank you

Hello all,
I have multiple airbrushes, and it is time to have a quick connect setup. But I am confused. I have a badger 1/8" air hose from my compressor, which is threaded on to the badger airbrush. The other airbrushes I have an adapter that reduces the 5/16" size to 1/8". I have not found any quick connect adapters for 5/16", nor did I find a quick connect adapters the convert a 1/8th quick connect to a 5/16" (the opposite case).
I am thoroughly confused
