Tiger I Early

This Tiger I heavy tank was involved in the Third Battle of Kharkov during World War II in 1943. Many were painted white on top of their early war dunkelgrau finish to blend in to the Soviet snowy landscape.

The tigers played a significant role in the German counteroffensive. The early production models of the Leibstandarte SS Panzer Division were used to break through the Soviet defenses, clear urban areas, and engage enemy tanks like the T-34.
