Good luck with this, i did it this last year and although it goes together quite well the canopy is a fitting nightmare

Thanks for the heads up Adam, fortunately I have been pondering the way cockpits fit to the fuselages. With some advice from fellow Scale Mate, Bill Gillman, I am ready for this issue!

Just messin' around trying to hone my 1/72 scale aircraft skills between armor builds Clifford......I was thinking these little things would be a cinch, but getting them to look even close to what some of the aircraft folks here at Scalemates do........well......it's a challenge....

don't know Hunter, these aircraft always give me the willies. Thankfully I'm making them for my own enjoyment and not for any contests or anything like that......here's the status quo>>>[img1]

Looks good! Are those raised rivits I see?

yep, I'm actually thinking of highlighting them......one at a time.
Are they supposed to be there? I remember that B-24 anti submarine variant that Bill G. built and he sanded all of the rivets off. I've got to figure Bill knows what he's doing, so why on earth would the manufacturer put them there????
Also, I noticed that there are no panel lines on this aircraft, except on the tail structure.....

It probably an old tool, from the 60s or 70s. I think the real Sturmovik has panel lines.

just a lousy fit.........I've got it in and somewhat acceptable....but I've got to re-shoot the paint all around it........
