An interesting diorama, but historically inaccurate. After such a crash, there are no tanks nearby, there certainly aren't any yellow ones, and unfortunately, the P-51 has post-war markings (red stripe in the identification and the large identification on the fuselage). These are just a few discrepancies.

Hi Damian, thank you for you comments. I've seen your work and you are an exceptional modeler. Unfortunately, whilst I am getting better, my passion is for the building and painting, and I am not really at all interested in historical accuracy. I found myself procrastinating when I tried to create authentic dioramas etc, so just build what looks good to me. All that being said, I appreciated your comments and am now paying a 'little more' attention to the application of decals! AJ

By the way, I forgot to say that the reason this dio being of a 'crashed' Mustang is that during painting I managed to drop it on the floor, then when I tried to pick it up, I rolled my swivel chair over it, bending the wing!!! Every cloud...
