Awesome looking Intruder and the photo work is striking! Congratulations. I flew the A-6E TRAM and my last cruise the SWIP version. Only a true Intruder geek would probably know this, but the A-6 version you've chosen did not have the capability to carry HARM missiles. That didn't come until the SWIP version in about 1989. We didn't get SWIP birds till 1992 (VA-155). But the model and photo are first class.

Wow, this is one project where I actually needed to look twice to see if it is a model or the real thing. Excellent workmanship and lovely photos too - the hangar backdrop and the two tiny figures are superb.

Oh wow, what a wonderful surprise! A real A-6E pilot! Thank you for the invaluable advice, Paul Moore. I've always adored the A-6 - its rugged airframe gives me the impression of a tremendously powerful battering ram. Trumpeter just released their new 1:72 scale kit this year, which I've already purchased. I'll definitely be building another one! Thanks again for sharing your firsthand experience
