Thank you for the comments 🙂 I mixed the color to match the car somehow. It depends on the source to get a feeling of the color. So I created mine what I thought, it fits best. I one or a couple of episodes, Mr. Bean drove a red / orange Mini. But yellow is the color, Mr. Bean is connected to.

The padlock had to be on the door. I was thinking to take out the steering wheel to because in another episode, he took it out for safety reason (then I should have added a suit to put the wheel in it - he was going to a picknick 😉)

Where's Teddy?
I love this. And indeed the padlock is necessary!

Why are steering wheel and padlock on the left hand side on a car with an english license plate???

It's my interpretion of Mr. Beans car. So for that there is also an interior of a Honda with it's powertrain and exhaust. It's only the (close to original) paint and license plate.....
There is no problem to import foreign cars and get them road legal. The position of the steering wheel is the smallest problem. Modelling is, what makes me happy. I don't really care about authenticity in that case 😄

You can read my intention in the description of the project (scroll down). It was never the idea to build a replica of Mr. Beans Mini.

Album info

Basically it is the model kit of Austin Mini Cooper 1275S Mk.I. Sometimes there pops a Mini up with a Honda engine built in on the internet. I was excited whether the engine its into the model kit like it fits into in a real life. So I got the engine of a Honda Integra and started the challenge.
To top it, I put the interior of a Honda Civic in it. And the exhaust of the Integra of cause.

What can I say? It fits! Only a hand full of body work was to do.

The license plate and the lock on the drivers door are telling you, which idea I followed. Mr. Bean's Mini 😄
