December 23, 2015All the sprues laid out along with the other bits and bobs, early cheap kit so not as many parts as later Tamiya kits
December 23, 2015As usual I start of by painting all the fiddly wee parts before assembling into larger sub assemblies, I think I must have forgotten to take some images so we join the main build with the engine in the frame along with the rear swingarm and wheel, radiato
December 23, 2015close up of the left side of the bike showing the left hand front cylinders exhaust expansion chamber, the bike is a V3 two stroke
December 23, 2015front of the bike showing radiator in situ with the clutch cable poking through the frame
December 23, 2015right side of the bike showing the other two exhaust expansion chambers
December 23, 2015top down view showing the bank of 3 carbs and the unusual 3 exhaust layout
December 23, 2015quite a lot of chrome parts on this model, as usual a pain to paint. this picture showing the front mudguard in TS-8 italian red and the front forks and wheel all assembled ready to go onto the bike
December 23, 2015front suspension fitted along with the handlebars, really starting to look like a bike now
December 23, 2015a wee close up of the left side detailing, as usual the italian red is showing as pink but I managed a nice finish on the mudguard
December 23, 2015and a wee close up of the right side of the bike details
December 23, 2015and a top down view before the tank etc goes on, note my trademark red killswitch as usual
December 23, 2015painting of major body panels done, tank and front nose cowling were two tone racing white and italian red, luckilly the decals cover the masking line, so on with the tank, rear cowling, seat and nose cowling along with some decals
December 23, 2015front view, the profile of this wee bike is really narrow seeing as it's only a 250cc
December 23, 2015and the right side of the bike showing the paintwork and decals thus far
December 23, 2015rear view showing some of the detailing at the back along with the dials on the speedo binnacle
December 23, 2015optional side radiator scoops and belly pan fitted, you don't have to it's just a matter of preference
December 23, 2015front view with the mirrors on
December 23, 2015and right side view with the bodywork on. almost finished with the bike at this point, it has all been assembled and painted, just the rest of the decals to go on...............and as usual with an old 80's kit, I ran into some issues with the decals. To
