Hello, finally, someone who dares to take on a whale! I am very curious to see how the construction progresses.
hi mate!, actually, this brand is quite complicated, each piece needs attention to fit correctly, nonetheless is possible, I've built the Albatross in 1/144 from the same brand and the result is acceptable Grumman HU-16 Albatross Argentine naval Aviation | Album by damian203 (1:144)
Another very interesting topic from the southern hemisphere 👍 And it's another Amodel challenge to follow!

Dornier Wal in the Argentine Naval Aviation
In 1922, the Argentine Navy acquired four Dornier J Wal aircraft, built in Italy by Construzioni Meccaniche Aeronautiche S.A. Unfortunately, one crashed before delivery. Upon arrival, the remaining three were assigned to the 1st Naval Region for maritime patrol and bombing duties until their decommissioning in 1932.
The Wal aircraft suffered from serious propeller problems until the issue was resolved in 1925.
The "Plus Ultra" remained in the custody of the Argentine Navy for several years after being donated by King Alfonso XIII of Spain, serving as a communications and mail transport aircraft.

B-12, *possibly this is the aircraft that crashed on August 22, 1923, during its test flight in Italy, killing Ensign Esteban Zanni, younger brother of Major Pedro Zanni.
