T26E4 Super Pershing (Hobbyboss kit), 3rd Armored, Germany, April 1945. 1 T26E1 was fitted with a more powerful T15E1 90mm gun of 73 calibers designed to outgun the Tiger II and its 88mm 72 caliber main gun. This gun was almost twice as long as the standard 90mm of the T26E1/M26. Recoil was beefed up with the two external cylinders and 3rd Armored Division field shops improvised additional armor as experience proved the Pershing was vulnerable to 88 rounds.

Often referred to as the Sherman Easy 8 which derives from E8 in the prototype M4A3E8 designation, the final production model of the Sherman tank was much improved over the original models of 1942-43. The first examples arrive in theater in December 1944. The HVSS (horizontal volute spring suspension) improved mobility greatly. Wider tracks improved traction and floatation over soft ground reducing tanks becoming mired on muddy terrain.
