A nice start. How did the main parts go together?

Hi Villiers - the two halves of the hull did not go together perfectly, which may be a skill issue but I just couldn't get them lined up perfectly. I spent a lot of time scraping and filing last night. I am now ready to prime so I can see where I'm at and repeat the process. For some reason I'm not getting very good glue bonds either, I've had parts come apart a couple times. There are no locator pins, you have to line stuff up like a short run kit.

Hello Ben. You may have considered it, but would gluing gussets on the inside assist?

I should have considered it, but I did not. If anyone else builds this in the future, they should do that.

yes, the vise is very handy, should have bought two, but money is not unlimited right now, lol

This "DSPAIE" brand makes lots of hobby tools including something that looks like a godhand nipper but for far cheaper. I am very satisfied with the quality of the vise, it is precision. Someone else on here had one is how I discovered it.

The kit has alternate markings and parts for different variations. Unfortunately the more colorful schemes all have swastikas which I don't feel like including on my builds so I'm doing the scheme from the 1929 around the world flight.
