A-6A VA-196 Main Battery

WOW! If it wasn't for the clear rods I could have mistaken some of those photos for a real aircraft.
Album info
Trumpter's 1/72 scale A-6 model is literally a hybrid of the A-6A and A-6E. The wing blades are correct for the A-6A, while the anti-collision lights and formation lights are correct for A-6E, and some of the vents and air intakes are also from the A-6E. The most annoying thing is that the wheel well door of the main landing gear bay is molded closed and locked. To make an active A-6 attack aircraft, you need to cut off part of the fuselage and wings, and add the main wheel well panels and engine bay panels yourself.
When building a in flight dirty configuration, the main landing gear shock strut should be extended and the mirror section should be extended to 6.5mm. The torsion links should be adjusted accordingly.
Some decals have wrong logos or colors, just ignore them and let it go. I am happy that I finally completed this one.
