The Mustang GT4 is the result of collaboration between Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsports. Based on the Shelby Mustang GT350R, it features significant modifications. All project cars were exclusively white.
This kit excels in fit, detailing, and geometry—everything is superb. A perfect canvas for customization.
Modifications include:
Added wiring and fluid lines in the cabin
Rebound canisters in the suspension
Differential cooling hoses
Simulated carbon fiber on doors, transmission tunnel, and dashboard
Braided spiral steering wheel wiring
Perforated foil heat shielding for exhaust
Decals & Materials:
VOLT Racing livery and carbon decals: Kolokolnikov Studio
Base color: Hobby Link fluorescent paint
Other paints: Alcohol-based Tamiya and Gunze
Topcoat: Gunze GX100 Super Clear III
Panel line wash: Gunze
Adhesives: Revell glue, Tamiya Extra Thin Cement, Tamiya Craft Bond, Dspiae UV Glue
Notes on execution:
The clear coat applied unevenly, requiring touch-ups.
Decals presented challenges but were successfully concealed.
The yellow paint delivered a vibrant acid-like hue under sunlight—a highlight of the build.
