Love the Porsche 962's, and this livery with it's masking has always put me off, so I'll be watching this one and see how it's done

I agree, these racecars are very cool, I'll be watching this as well! Have fun for the rest of your build!

The masking was actually fairly simple. I traced all the white decals then used the outside part of the fender for the red fender and the inside of that to mask the yellow side with the idea that neither would be perfect but the white decal would cover up the flaws. Only.....the decals are incredibly translucent, so you can see the colors through them. But it looks pretty decent in the pictures, so i'll carry on. I should mention: I painted the entire body yellow, masked, then painted it all red, masked again and did the black. Light to dark, works like a charm.

You definitely did the masking and the painting in the right order, good job.

Great work on painting that livery. Looks quite tricky to pull off but you managed well.

Decals look very good, maybe the missing one is stuck to your finger (it's happened to me).

Mine always end up stuck to my feet. Months later, i'll see trash on the floor and, oh, hey, waddya know?

I replaced the MIA decal. Sadly, the white decals had a bit of a reaction to the Testors clear. Never had a problem with Testors clear before. Tamiya X13, yes. But this is the first Testors reaction.

Without fail, I screwed up one of the tyre markings......I hate those things! But I have replacement. I'll finish this one yet!! 🙂
