Finally there are some pictures: the Zvezda kit is simply great: impressive accuracy of fit, an impressive number of fine details and structures and a surprisingly well laid out cockpit interior make me very satisfied with this kit. One aircraft will be standing on its undercarriage, the second one I would like to depict flying as a fire-fighting aircraft dropping the extinguishing water....

Indeed. It's amazing how many different types you can come up with in the general topic of 'fire-fighting aeroplanes'!

A few steps further: the military version of the Be-200 has taken over the lead for the time being. Now the decals can be applied here. The fire-fighting/civil defence version has a somewhat more complex paint job and needs a little more time under the airbrush to reach this stage

That makes me happy, Thomas! I'll improve the day's yield of images and show you with a few quick images what the Be-200 looks like after the decals have been applied today.
A wonderful, well-made kit, but one that needs to be taken seriously. Quite challenging in some places! One example is the decals: the amount of decals that have to be carefully applied on top of each other is considerable and requires experience. This applies in particular to the somewhat more complex Be-200 of the civil defence.

One more round of new pictures before I declare the model finished: the masks from the cockpit windows have been removed, the gloss level reduced and the details such as the static dischargers on various wing tips or the sliding wipers on the cockpit window have been applied. Now the fuselage windows still have to harden: they were modelled with Klear Fix. To give the outwardly bulging window its shape, I applied a lot of Klear Fix to the round opening and then placed the machine on the corresponding wing tip: gravity pulled the material outwards as it hardened.

The following pictures conclude the first construction of this double project, the second Be-200 will follow soon - as if in flight. Thank you for your interest and your encouraging comments, mates!
