I finally put up an album for this build. An excuse for my slow progress on the other F-16s is that this build makes 3 going at the same time. Also, I have found this Kinetic kit to be much more troublesome than the old Hasegawa kits requiring careful assembly.

Finally back at the bench with some small progress on this build. The ejection seats were painted and installed. Now to remove the seam from the canopy…

What a beauty! 👍 Make sure to cut those thick static dischargers and replace them with toothbrush hairs.

Thanks Sergej! I really noticed how oversized they looked when I primed.

Worked on removing that seam from the canopy. Added some floor shine to the final polish.

Today I was able to attach the canopy and complete the preshading. Next will be the application of the main colors.

Thanks Tommy! Was hoping to apply the main colors today but it has been raining. Maybe this evening…

Finally a day without rain! The first color was applied to the underside: FS36375 Light Ghost Gray
This aircraft carries the three tone scheme.

Corrected the color on the wingtip launch rails to FS36375 and applied FS36176 to the radome.

Calling this one complete. This build represents the first aerial victory for an American F-16 and the first kill for the AIM-120 missile.

Thank you Sergej & Neuling!
Sergej - I was able to replace the comical sized static dischargers with finer parts. I really like them and purchased sets for my other F-16 builds.

I noticed! These look great now! 👍
I use toothbrush hairs from really fine toothbrush, like Curaprox. The deal is that they stick fast and firm to superglue and then they are super flexible, I can brush over them with fingers without fear of breaking them off. And they cost 5 Euro for lifetime.
Used them on both the 48th MiG
MiG-21R (L-14i), 352.iae JRV | Album by Vargbrujo (1:48)
and 72nd Viper:
F-16C Block30, 457. FS, USAF, 75-year Jubilee Colors | Album by Vargbrujo (1:72)

An elegant solution. The fact that they are flexible is enough for me. I have several kits that are nerve wracking to move due to brass static dischargers.
Excellent builds too!!
