Late October 1956 . . . Israel had taken delivery of the French AMX-13 tanks only a few months earlier. But the Suez Crisis broke out and the newly acquired IDF tanks rolled into the Sinai. The dusty conditions quickly covered the original olive drab paint scheme.
Had to do a redo. Too much dust. Spastic antennas, and flag too small. Pictures don't do justice. The dust is actually a gray-brown color. Unfortunately, the camera makes it look white
First figure I’ve attempted to paint in 3 years. Still a long way to go. But I wanted to show the Soviet style headgear that were being used by IDF tankers at this point in time. Figure was OOB with a Russian tanker head and helmet. Not as crisp as a resin figure, but "Oh Well".
