The muzzle of the MK108 looks a little bit strange… 

…I glued a piece of styrene and sanded it smooth. Next a new hole was drilled and a piece of brass tube installed. 

As I did it for the first time on my ZM Bf109G-6 I wanted to rivet the surface of the Ta152 too. The prop spinner came as first. 

This model will be a premiere for me cause I don‘t use any decals. Instead of that I‘m using the stencils from 1manarmy. First test was the spinner spiral…and it worked very well. 

Now its time to close the fuselage. The kit is from 2013. But sometimes it seems its decades before. There are several fit issues, sink holes and flash. So putty and sanding paper are Your best friends. 

 

The fit at the wings wasn‘t as well as it could be on a japanese kit from the year 2013. I needed a little bit more force to glue the wing‘s nose cap. 

Putty again…? 

 

And sanded smooth 

Now the whole fuselage is glued together. The gaps are filled and sanded. 

 

 

Now its time to resribe the lost panel lines. I‘m using a piece of Dymo tape and an engraving needle which I made myself. A normal tip only makes burrs. Its important that it makes a real cut. 

Time for riveting.  

As a help for the rivet lines I‘m using small strips of masking tape.  

Every single rivet was stamped into the plastic with a jewelers tool to create very small (0,3mm) circles instead of a simple hole made with a normal riveting tool(riveting wheel). 

 

A nice reference book is the Kagero No.63. The included 1/32 scale plans are a very useful help for the riveting work. 

 

Riviting is done. Now I sprayed a coat of white primer and added black as pre shader along panel lines. 

 

 

 

 

The paint job was done using the AK real color range excepting the red part of the fuselage band which was RLM23 cause AK doesn‘t have this color in stash. I used Mr. Color instead.

All stencils and markings are airbrushed using the great stuff from 1man army. Only the black number 3 are custom made decals und the swastikas came from a good friend. The 1man army stencils for that are too small 

 

Test fitting on the ground base with figures 

Ground base made from styrene foam and AK terrain light earth for the concrete surface(Yes, I know there is AK terrain concrete available too. But my tin was dryed out) ? 

Mechanic from Black Dog added. Grass tufts are from Green Stuff World. Oak leaves stamped out, painted and glued to the base
