Those MB trucks were almost armoured.

This is actually a funny diorama because about 5 years ago I lived in a home that had a big raid run-off water ditch to the side of my driveway and the driveway was at a sort of steep incline, to back out of the driveway you had to do steer to the right sharply to get out onto the street as the driveway could house 4 vehicles in a duplex home. Well one morning I was not paying attention to the rear view camera in my 2016 Dart, looking over my shoulder but blind to the ditch and I ended up backing right into that ditch that was 20 feet deep or so and wide, I had to hop out at about a 7 foot drop to get out of the car and it was much like in this diorama but the rear end was in, astonishingly there was no damage to the rear end or anything else except some big rocks in my exhaust pipe. A wrecker came and carefully lifted my car right out of the ditch with no damage. Do not ask me how it survived that. I was more worried about my neighbors seeing this and thinking "what kind of idiot drives into a ditch" but it did not seem to draw much attention other than passers by. Its still a great working car today and I love it. So if anyone has a problem with this truck showing no front end damage, well its safe to say there would probably be very little to none, although my rear end did not slam into the ground either and was sort of wedged in to the ditch. This build totally reminded me of that. Great diorama!

Thanks all for the renewed interest in this little scene. When I built it my idea was that a beer delivery truck was driving during a blackout and fell into a hole that had previously been created during an overnight bombing raid. The bomb had gone off near a sewer which had caused the collapse. The driver may, or may not have had a sample or two from his load but he was driving slowly which is why there is little damage to the truck.
What tends to go un-noticed is that I actually shortened the rear axle so the drop side on the load bed would hang right. Without the correction the mudguard gets in the way. I will try to add a couple of photos.
