I only came for the boobs!
Honestly though, great looking Tiger. I wondered what's been taking up your time? Now it's clearly obvious 🙂

Looking excellent, my friend. Oddly enough, I've just been looking at Tigers on eBay!
I had a look at the three Tamiya offerings, then started to diversify on the other manufacturers. Now you've got me thinking about pie, so I'm off to raid the fridge and make a cup of tea!
Scalemates.
Leading us astray, since 2010!

always time for pie Boz...I recently got a AirFix kit that was reasonably inexpensive compared to some others, myself for some reason enjoy the challenge of the dragon "instructions" assembly diagrams, its a kit with a puzzle. but to build a tiger accurately something I wish to achieve, the pie easier than painting multi colors for me, I need more practice and yes thanks to scalemates for the wealth of info and inspiration that it provides. I may have been building kits all my life but more since I found out about Scalemates 🙂 👍

I've just stalked your stash. That Airfix kit, caused some controversy, when it came out. Allegedly, it's someone else's tooling, apparently? I never continued the quest to find out, but every time I see something cool in 1/35, I think about my days in that scale. Oh to be young again :/

Hi the airfix armour kits are mostly academy reboxings i think and now someone has mentioned Apple pie i need go shopping haven't had one for ages lol 😉

Thanks for the info, Major. Back in the day, the lure of the boxart on an Airfix kit, was part of the adventure. Roy Cross, was definitely a good in his own right. That man could paint doggy doo doo, and make it look interesting! The new stuff, doesn't have that same appeal. On a plus note though, I'm excited for the upcoming release of the Mack B-61 model, from Round 2. Now that's a proper old school truck! I took some pictures of one in a parking lot, in PA, just rotting away. I just wanted to take it home with me and love it, lol

There's a guy who has big connections to information, I see popping up on FB. He knows every buckle, clasp, bolt and weld, on Tigers. He's got pictures and data on stuff, that a normal person would just walk past. However, he's always got what you need to know. Being here in England, we have Tiger 131 in the tank museum. I've never been to see it, mainly due to the drive down there, but it's on my list. I've seen videos of it, driving around. That motor sounds awesome, as they give it some Welly!

with the the amount of info out there, I just have a few reference items the balance I look to the internet , you should go to see Tiger 131 its in your back yard 👍

Lol, I must have a big back yard? That's a five and half hour drive! Anyone selling a ride on mower? 😄

...It's closer to you than the parking lot in PA where you photographed the Mack B-61 though. and five and half hours to many places ...back yard a "term" for closer to You than me 😉

Time and distance are all relative. I can drive 5 1/2hrs and not even get out of Ontario. But seriously if I could drive to your Tank Museum I'd be there. I'm lucky to live pretty close to a couple of good museums, the Canadian Tank Museum / Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa is only 45min away and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa is 2.5-3hrs away. Both are VERY good but although the Oshawa museum has a bunch of running vehicles they don't have the collection of WWII running ones that Bovington does. Love to be able to take a trip to England and take a couple of weeks which would still not nearly be enough time

England is a funny place. It's steeped in history and you're never far away from it. Only yesterday, I was in the village of Naseby, where a once famous battle was, and that's not too far away from the final resting place of Princess Diana. I used to live a 10 minute walk from where they built parts for the famous Lancaster Bomber, and now I live about 15 minutes away from where they were assembled. Bovington isn't too far away from Stonehenge, which I'd like to see before I curl up my toes and take my final nap, so I'm not ruling it out. However, I gotta admit, I'd rather be in PA, listening to the sound of those Detroit and Cummins engines flying by, powering those awesome trucks. Don't write me off yet though guys, because if I make it, the USA is my retirement plan 😉

Oh, and Mona?
Because of you and your Tiger, I'm now chasing an RC Heng Long 1/16 Tiger, that has all the moves and shoots BB balls! I seriously need to get myself together and start saving up for retirement 🙂

gee Paul I didn't realize that the Canadian Tank Museum /Ontario Regiment Museum was only 6 1/2 hr's and one border away, much closer than the nearest one in the states. closest tank outside of a VFW .. is a couple hr's away .

Ya check out their website. They have a nice collection and probably 80% is running. They have an event every summer in July usually thats 3 days. I went quite a while ago and it was $50 for a weekend pass. You can also pay for tank rides. Not sure what that costs. But overall its a good weekend if you are a history buff or armour modeler. They have a few other weekends spread through the year when they have single day events when they run different vehicles around their show area as well

Bozzer it's funny how we tend to look wistfully at others and wish we could visit when there's local history close by that we ignore. I also have 2 different War of 1812 forts within 2hrs drive from me and haven't been to either one
