I would like to start the gallery on the construction of the Miles Master with these pictures. High Dora Wings quality as usual, I have to say - but some filler is needed - no contradiction to the quality, because the parts and the equipment are great! I am also very happy to be able to build this striking and important aircraft with a well-designed kit.

A lot of putty? Yes, but it actually looks worse than it is 🙂 Thank you mates!

A few steps further here too: the colouring is essentially complete and everything is covered with a thick layer of clear varnish, ready to receive the decals!

Two final construction photos of the Master, already with sealed decals; now I am curious about the quality of the clear parts. They play a key role in the appearance of this machine!

Thank you for your interest — but (un)fortunately, this project is already over. 🙂

In the end, it really took off, even though I think Dora Wings has released more convenient kits. This refers, on the one hand, to the complicated modular design of the fuselage, which, although commendable, ensures that two very different versions can be built. This complicates the assembly of the fuselage, which is not ideal. On the other hand, this play with the different cockpit glazing exacerbates the basic problem of the kit: clear parts that do not fit properly and also appear somewhat cloudy. I had to do a lot of sanding and cutting to get the glazing to fit satisfactorily. It's quite helpful to be able to refer to original pictures of the real aircraft. I also recreated the cabin lock handles and added the small aiming aid in front of the windshield using suitable wire.
All in all, this is a kit with a few challenges, but one that I can still recommend—if only because it allows you to put such an important but hitherto criminally neglected piece of aviation history in your display case!

All in all, this is a kit with a few challenges, but I can still recommend it—if only because it allows such an important but hitherto neglected piece of aviation history to find its way into the display case! So I am happy to be able to share a few pictures of the finished Miles Master with you!
