Taking a seat... Still remember the impact those two first episodes made to a then young boy... 👍

Nice start. These seats are a great step up from what's in the kit.

Thanks!
Indeed, the seats in the kit are somewhat simplified.
They've received some colours now. 😉

The silver paint is on.
The black primer didn't show any defects so to speak - at least I didn't see any - but oh my, was the body badly prepped…

It all became very visible after the first coat of the Mr.Hobby Silver…
It took me quite some sanding and another coat and then repeat again until where I am now.

I wanted to try the SM201 for the first time and it did not disappoint. I was previously not happy with the newly formulated (it seems) Ammo A range (the one they took over from Alclad), so the Super Metallic range from Mr.Hobby will from now on take their place.
I even gave the painted surface a quick rub with Tamiya's finish compound (white).

Decals will be next, then clear coat.
I still need to decide which plane I wiil do: Tanguy, Laverdure or the unfortunate St.Helier from episode 2. 😀

Nicely done.
SM201 really works wonders! I've also tried Tamiya LP-11 which works just as well and may be more easily available.

Thanks mates!

I'll give the LP11 from Tamiya then also a go, indeed SM201 not so easy to find. Thanks for the tip Clement 🙏🏻
