As a child, I used to press my nose against the car window every time we drove past Sembach airbase on the way to Kaiserslautern to get a glimpse of these planes.

Tommy Agne AuthorHi Dieter ✌️. Thx for stepping by. Nice to hear this from someone "aus de palz" 😁. Appreciate that very much, mate. Had some nice old memories about the sembach hogs too, as a child. A friend and i have watched the low Level Training near our home village (they must have used the old castel as a nav point), i've never seen such low passes/flyby. One thing i remember is that one pilot had an orange flight suite and a grey helmet... the good old days👍

Dieter UhlYeah, the low level training flights… I watched these for hours (as far as I remember 😜) in the „Nordpalz" from the balcony of my parents' house. A lot of Thunderbolts and Broncos from Sembach, as well as the occasional Phantoms… indeed the good old days.. 👍
