It looks like a dreadful kit but you seem to beating it into submission.

Haha! Thanks Gorby 🙂 👍 Yeah I think that sums it up. Building something 'right' hopefully outta this kit is my goal!

Love the Star Trek - original series vibes from the cockpit sadly, that includes the seats too.
Woah, zip ties, that escalated quickly! Photo #8 is a previously unknown secret entrance? Kit quality really looks discouraging, well done on making it look decent! Looking forward to seeing it done!

I'm definitely following this build. Another tuffy Neil!

Thanks Palo and Nathan. I retired this one to 'the shelf' a while back, as it was hard going to say the least. Lately (as it sat there forlornly looking back at me) I felt the 'urge' to have another crack at building it. It's an old Airfix... Enuff said, as you say Nathan 'a tuffy'! But then I do seem to build a lot of duff old kits! Hahaha! You're both kind to comment and appreciate your interest very much. I hope I'll do it justice mates 🙂 thanks also to those who've liked 👍

You are a brave man, but you can tame that tiger!

It's always a joy seeing master modelers tackling older kits and molesting them into submission - like this kit. I'm taking a seat to see how you can really polish this gem!

Have you built any of Kinetic's A-6 series? I can say that the Hobby Boss A-6 is not bad, the fit is a bit squirrelly on the wings and air intakes (opposite of your Airfix experience) - but I don't recall needing a load of zip ties to subdue it into the proper form (which I will proudly steal from you as a trick in future builds!)
