This will be my first attempt of a 1/35 scale model AND not an aircraft. 🙂

Chassis put together first, so far so good. Little or no flash. 🙂

I remember building this kit while serving in Lebanon in 1989. I thought it was awesome back then. Looking forward to see your final result.

Painted the jeep with Vallejo Model Air Desert Pink. Some of the ancillaries painted a variety of desert colours. 🙂
Thanks for the kind comment and like Bruce. You're right, I'm enjoying this model so far. 👍

This denotes a Willy's Jeep used by the SAS in the Western Desert of North Africa in 1942.
I weathered the vehicle with a mix of desert sand and light yellow ochre, using a mix with thinners to apply to under the wheel arches etc. I then added the steering wheel etc. and the weapons and added a dusting of desert sand and light yellow ochre brushing the loose powder around the vehicle.
Now completed, I really enjoyed building this jeep, my first 1/35 scale vehicle.
