Kamov Ka-29 Helix-B, Zvezda 7221

A model of russian Ka-29 naval fire support helicopter from Zvezda. Unlike its basic version, Ka-27 Helix anti-submarine and sea rescue helicopter, Ka-29 is a gunship for Soviet and now Russian naval infantry. Actually some specialists call Helix-B a naval Mi-24 equivalent. Zvezda set is very good, however some modelists don't like oversized rivets. There aro also little choice of weapons in the set: only four S-8 57mm unguided rockets pods. There are no ATGMs or gunpods that Helix-B also could use. But anyway I liked this unusual coaxial helicopter that looks differently among classic models and also wears beautiful navy blue-grey camo.
