Night Fighter Hellcat F6F-5N
Building in-flight Hellcat in 1/48 scale

This is my 2nd project, alongside Tamiya's 1/48 scale F-35A, that I build in order to get my modeling mojo back 🙂

This one gonna be my depiction of a legendary night fighter version of Hellcat in-flight. Meaning that the cockpit will feature seated pilot and all wheels up.

It turns it's not an easy task for someone returning almost 10 years later after the last built scale model 🙂 But I'm not looking for easy.

So the main focus for modifications, in order to build in-flight Hellcat, are wings:
* riveting (although there's some partial riveting my the manufacturer),
* scratch-building closed wheel well covers (the smallest ones);
* inserting Master's brass armament.
