This was a quick build of a poor kit from Hobby Boss. It attracted me by the opportunity to make a desert camo-ed Black Hawk which looks awesome for my taste.
Unfortunately, the kit turned out to be a different tooling from naval Hawks from Hobby Boss: it has a lot of disadvantages:
- Cabin interior is totally wrong: incorrect size, form, and placement of seats
- No wire cutters, no sensors, no weapons
- Stub wings are from Japanese version, completely unusable for US Army helos
- Rotor hubs are incorrect
- Missing surface details everywhere
- Decals are very basic - no stensils, no lights, incorrect font of signs, etc.
Since I lack skills and patience to scribe and scratch-build, I've just added resin+rubber wheels, decals for instrument panels, and a wire cutter. And unfortunately, no weathering applied, too. (That's disappointing but it seems I've reached the top of my abilities in scale modelling...)
