Alexander Grivonev AuteurNext addition to the Red Alert 2 project - the Tesla Trooper. A fun and rewarding build with the emphasis on getting the metallic look right. The parts were pre-colored but almost each one was altered in some way with paints and washes to get a somewhat realistic, used and less "plastiky" look.

@BAT21: I doubt I'll ever stray off the beaten path into model railroading, let alone in Scale O. However I want to get hold of some rails in that scale and present it properly next to the diesel locomotive from Aoshima that I want to build too. Even considering building another EF66, a modernized version in a different livery

RA2 brought the material upgrades when levelling up during the game, if I remember correctly.
So basic version is the v1, and evolved is the v2.
I don't recall a v3, but it's 25 yrs away lol.
Between the two kits, sprues are common for tracks and hull
Different turrets, mine plow, and a sound system on the v2 like the one included in the Grizzly. and the first one with a figure, too.
Just received the Tesla Tank, unboxing soon on my channel, btw.

Munkhbat MBy the looks of it, the V1 version looks like a "Realistic" interpretation of what an Apocalypse tank would look like, the turret being based on the T-90M's for example. While the V2 version looks closer to what the Apocalypse looked like in RA2, specifically the CGI cinematics.

Urban GardiniFantastic work on the not so wonderous wooden wonder! I agree on the cleverness with you painting aid contraption. It gives me some ideas on one of my ongoing builds how to think as the next step is to paint some paint splotches. I'll see what I can come up with. At least my MiG-21 is a smaller kit to work with. But to get the paint work as neat as yours will be quite demanding...

I do not own a vacuum machine, if you are refering to my "vacuformed" windshields for the 964 models, I made a resin cast of the kit part and pulled heated clear sheet over it. I guess "deep drawing" is the correct technical term for that?
