This is my other long-time project based on a novel by Tom Clancy. Again I will add albums from different models in various scales from time to time. All of them are common that they appear in the novel.

Wow great idea Sven, just one thing. USS Dallas was a first flight 688 with the hydroplanes on the sail.

Hi Augie, the Hobby Boss kit is a 3 in 1. You can build all flights out of it. There are two upper hulls and two sails included. So I built a full hull Dallas and still have the possibility to build a waterline dio with the second upper hull as a Flight II 688. Only the upper rudder needs to be scratched therefore.

What a great idea - I love the movie. Will you do a Typhoon with "caterpillar drive"?

Thanx for interest! I think of showing a caterpillar drive but only in form of closed hatches. At least this is my thinking so far

very interesting. I did a Red October with the extra missile tubes and caterpillar ports almost twenty years ago... i wish i would have know then a few of the things i know now 😄
You are doing almost everything that appears in the movie!!. I will certainly follow this one 🙂

Even better, Spanjaard: I try to cover a lot from the novel! This gives even more opportunieties. E.g. there is one chapter in the book where a squadron A-10 do a fake run against the Kirov. I love ship but I like to build something else not so time consuming, too. So a warthog will join this project on day.
