Hi thank you all for the likes appreciate it. The usaf tested the f 16 in the early 80s as a replacement for the A 10 it even had a belly pod 30mm cannon but decided not to go ahead with it

I just saw something about that a month ago - something about the cannon pod wreaking havoc with the airframe, and the low loiter time over the target, I believe
