This was a very old kit, the fit wasn't great in parts (wings needed a lot of love), and a lot of rivet detail was lost when doing some necessary sanding on the main seam in the fuselage. Undercarriage is finicky and weak when complete, and some of the build steps (e.g. fuselage closure) were tricky. Bear in mind that I approached this soon after re-starting modelling, so while I learned a lot from these challenges, more experienced modelers may find the going a bit easier.

This was my fifth build - the rest were 1:72 single seat WWII fighters - so it was a step up for me too, but I learned a lot from doing it. (Mostly how much better modern kits are!!!)

Thanks! Had a quick look through your albums, you've done some great stuff so far - looks like you're really getting into this! I think I need to learn a bit about how to do a diorama as I've got something planned - a crash scene with a Blenheim bomber that comes from an actual even involving my own grandfather 🙂
